High-Speed Routing Protocol (HSRP) provides a mechanism for ensuring network redundancy and availability. In essence, HSRP operates by selecting a single router as the active router, while remaining routers remain in standby mode. If the active gateway becomes unavailable, an HSRP-capable switch will promptly select one of the standby gateways to a
